Here’s a video featuring our latest riverside timber decking project – in this case, overlooking the River Wey at Nottington, Weymouth, Dorset. The deck is almost complete – just needing the rope to be inserted into the newel posts to form a safety barrier. Our brief included the demolition of the previous deck which stood in the same position, whilst re-using the existing concrete block piers that were used to support the original structure. We added some additional support posts to strengthen the framework, before beginning the re-build. The riverside timber decking has just received a coat of decking oil to help with the weather-proofing, and every cut section of tanalised timber was re-painted with end grain preservative. We hope you like it as much as our clients do!

Our clients specified the design of the ‘fence’ on the lower side of the deck, to keep out any animals that might otherwise like to take up residence beneath the frame, and to obscure the rather unsightly concrete block supports!
