About us
Coastal Tree Care
That’s Dale in the photo — we’re a Weymouth-based tree care team, working across Portland, Dorchester and Bridport. Everything we do is fully insured and carried out to BS 3998:2010.
Most people call us tree surgeons. Fair enough — but tree surgery’s really just the pruning and felling side. The rest of it — working out what a tree actually needs, spotting trouble before it becomes an emergency callout — is arboriculture, and that’s most of what we do.
Tree work, start to finish
Planting, crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting, felling, stump grinding — plus the jobs nobody plans for, like the fallen oak we cleared off a private road this December. Access back open safely, all to BS 3998 as always.
More than trees
We started out doing tree work, and it grew from there — garden design and landscaping, grounds maintenance, plant sales, firewood, and ecology and conservation work.
Some of that conservation work has been for Dorset Wildlife Trust — habitat and scrub clearance at Tout Quarry Sculpture Park Nature Reserve and The Verne on Portland, and support for the Portland Living Landscapes Project.
