The term ‘tree surgeons’ is actually rather outdated. This simply refers to the practice of pruning or felling trees, which is just a small area within the discipline of Arboriculture. As professional arborists, we are trained to select, plant, grow, train, prune, assess the health of and diagnose defects in trees – as well as take appropriate corrective action to reduce the risk of the tree’s failure.
Our tree surgeon Service encompasses every branch of arboriculture. For instance, planting to felling, crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting, tree felling and stump grinding (where appropriate).

TREE PRESERVATION ORDERS (TPOs) AND CONSERVATION AREAS
Some trees are legally protected. If a tree is covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), or stands within a Conservation Area, permission or notice may be required before work starts.
Responsibility for compliance can apply to both the contractor and the property owner. We can advise on the process and flag likely restrictions before work begins.
