… now you don’t! This is a good little example of the difference our team is making to the reclamation of available habitat for limestone grassland species on Portland. This patch of dead Cotoneaster integrifolius was chemically treated last Spring, and we are now returning to dispose of the dead material, leaving a clear site for more appropriate, native plant species to colonise. This picture is being replicated at many sites around Portland, as our team – along with other contractors and Dorset Wildlife Trust volunteers – work methodically to try and eradicate this invasive alien species.
